The Chamber Foundation
The North Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. is the charitable arm of the Chamber. The Foundation’s aim is to lend support to people in our community. Through special events, we have raised funds to support the services and programs offered to our community. In addition, we provide scholarships to deserving students who reside in North Fort Myers to assist with college expenses.
All fund raising contributions are tax deductible. We encourage our Members and Community partners to consider our Foundations effort to help others when we have annual special events such as The Lee County Family Festival & Redneck Games, The Honorary Mayor’s Campaign, Share a Holiday Meal, and more. We look forward to exploring additional events in the future to bring community together.
Here is an overview of some of our popular fundraising events...
Lee County Family Festival & Redneck Games
The “Lee County Labor Day Family Festival & Redneck Games” began in 2012 The event offers a day full of “food, music, prizes, and good natured foolishness”.
The Annual Festival is held at the German American Club on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral, Florida. Among the happenings scheduled are a Hot Rod and Classic Car show, an Arts & Crafts Exhibitors, local business vendors, lots of kids activities including the balloon art, bounce houses and games, a variety of food vendors, a beer garden, prizes, raffles and more.
Featured on stage is a variety of musical acts as well as some crazy contests throughout the day.
The highlight of the day is the Redneck Games, which is where much of the good natured foolishness comes in. “Rednecks” are famously unpretentious and creative, and so it is with the Redneck Games – a sort of mini-Olympics on the down-low.
Featured at the games is the hilarious “Redneck Six-tathlon”, a competative race that features segments like “Tire rollin’”, “Tossin’ corn in the pot – from TV watchin’ position”, Spam sandwich eating, “Hangin’ the Laundry out”, and more. Also look for things like a “bottomless” mud-pit tug-o-war where local businesses can challenge each other for bragging rights, Best Mullett Contest (hair, not fish), Redneck Golf, toilet-seat horseshoes, peanut-spitting contests for both distance and accuracy, and so on.
The event is held on Labor Day (Monday). For prime sponsor and vendor space information please contact Chris Jackson, Executive Director.

Holiday Dinners for Deserving Families
Our Holiday tradition continues each year as we partner with Faith Assembly of God Church through their SHARE program. ($27.00 provides a nourishing Holiday meal for a family).
In this country of splendor, and paradise and plenty there is not any reason why every family can’t have enough to eat, and every family deserves to have a warm and comforting meal at the Holidays. But that won’t happen for many families. The need is greater than ever before, and many families will struggle for the most basic of sustenance.
The NFM Chamber and many of its members are privileged each year to share the love of the Season with those in the community most in need. We invite you to experience the unmatched warmth and joy you feel knowing you made a difference in the lives of an entire family.
